CICC: a Winner of the Academic Awards
CICC Recognized as a Winner of 2017 Silk Road International Documentary Academic Awards
Two documentaries, Our Story in China, the first film co-produced by China and Vietnam, and Crossroads: 2000 Years On the Silk Road, China’s first documentary themed on the “Silk Road Economic Belt”, were recognized as the Top 10 Best Documentaries of Silk Road at the first Silk Road International Documentary Academic Awards (2017) in Fuzhou on December 2.
Joint produced by Guangxi TV, Vietnam Television and the CICC, Our Story in China gives an account of the memorable years that Vietnamese students and teachers spent in Guangxi, China and depicts the deep friendship between China and Vietnam. During President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam, the film was aired simultaneously in both China and Vietnam. The film was well received by audiences and critically acclaimed by media of both countries, playing an active role in this high-level meeting of state leaders.
Joint produced by the Singapore-based IFA Media and the CICC, Crossroads: 2000 Years On the Silk Road is the first joint-produced documentary themed on the “Silk Road Economic Belt” in China. The film takes on an international perspective and illustrates the 2000 years on the Silk Road using artistic approaches of film.
Silk Road International Documentary Academic Forum & Awards, joint held by the Silk Road International Film Festival Executive Committee (Fuzhou) and the Documentary Academic Committee of China Television Association and co-organized by the CICC, is an integral part of the 4th Silk Road International Film Festival, which is joint held by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), People’s Government of Fujian Province and People’s Government of Shaanxi Province.
